AlignNow uses artificial intelligence to make your productivity experience smarter and more personalized. This AI Usage Notice explains what AI is used for, which companies are involved, how your data is handled, and what choices you have.
When you use the Add Thoughts feature, AI parses your unstructured notes and thoughts and extracts actionable tasks from them. The text you write is sent to one of our AI providers for processing.
When you add a task, AI enriches it with category labels, priority signals, and context. AI also reviews your task list and suggests which tasks to work on first.
When you request a task breakdown, AI generates a list of smaller steps and an estimated time for a complex task. Your task content is sent to one of our AI providers for processing.
AI identifies short, easily completable tasks from your list and surfaces them to help you build momentum.
When you create a new grocery list or add items to an existing one, AI groups your items by aisle or category. The text of your grocery items is sent to one of our AI providers for processing.
The Ask AI feature lets you ask questions or give instructions in plain language. Your question — along with relevant context from your task list — is sent to one of our AI providers for a response.
When you use the microphone for Thoughts or grocery input, your device's built-in speech recognition service transcribes your audio. On iOS this is Apple's Speech Framework; on Android this is Google's Speech Recognition. This is a device-level service — AlignNow receives only the resulting text and does not record or store your audio.

Data is only sent to AI providers when you actively use an AI feature. Your content is not continuously monitored or transmitted in the background.
Everything AlignNow's AI generates — task priorities, Thoughts summaries, grocery organization, quick win suggestions, Ask AI answers — is a suggestion. It is not a command, a certified recommendation, or a guaranteed result. You are always in control.

Note: Mileage address lookup and distance estimation use Google's mapping services, which are separate from AI features.
Simply do not use the AI-powered features listed above. All other App features remain fully available. To request deletion of data previously processed through AI features, contact us at alignnow.app@gmail.com.
